Main conference hall
The Hall has a capacity to accommodate a maximum of 1500 delegates. Seating is available as 640 in the lower deck and 860 in the Balcony. The stage can be used for variety performances including ballet, musical – popular and classical, award ceremonies, etc. Facilities are available for simultaneous interpretation in seven languages and for public broadcast.
Exhibition & Convention Centre
The Sirimavo Bandaranaike Memorial Exhibition Centre – the latest addition to the BMICH is the perfect location in Sri Lanka for international trade shows, exhibitions, conventions and seminars. The floor area covering 4500 sq. m. consists of two exhibition halls, lobby, dining room, lounge, kitchen and other amenities.
Throughout the years, the SBMEC has been the venue of many national & international auto shows, international book exhibitions, marine exhibitions, trade shows etc. which has seen the participation of millions of visitors.
The BMICH Committee Rooms are the best in its class for meetings, conventions and conferences of national or international scale. With facilities for simultaneous interpretations in seven languages – this is the perfect venue for multilingual events in Sri Lanka.
The two large committee rooms, ‘A’ & ‘B’ can accommodate 340 delegates and 98 observers with one room having the facility of movable seats which assists in adjusting the seating capacity.
Committee Rooms ‘C’ and ‘D’ are capable of accommodating 50 delegates each with the rooms ‘E’ and ‘F’ facilitate accommodation for 30 delegates each.
